NCompass Live is broadcast live, every Wednesday, from 10am - 11am Central Time. Convert to your time zone on the Official U.S. Time website or use the World Clock Time Zone Converter. In the Time Zone Converter, NCompass Live is broadcast from "U.S.A - Nebraska - Lincoln".
These one-hour sessions are hosted by Christa Porter, the NLC's Library Development Director, and include a mixture of presentations, interviews, book reviews, Web tours, mini training sessions, and Q & A sessions presented by NLC staff and guest speakers. Attendees ask questions and participate in the show via VoIP, using their own microphone, or in the live text chat.
Certificate of Completion - A “Thank
you for attending” email is automatically sent from the GoTo Webinar system
to all attendees who log in to a live session. A PDF Certificate of
Completion is attached to that email. That message serves as proof of
attending the live show.
The show is recorded for anyone who may want to watch it again or who cannot attend at the scheduled time. Registration for a live show is not required to view the archived recording.
NCompass Live is presented online using the GoTo Webinar online meeting service. GoTo Webinar works on Windows, Mac, Google Chrome OS, Linux, iOS and Android devices. GoTo Webinar login instructions are sent to registered attendees after registration for a session has closed. The Registration End date is listed on each session page. Please see the NLC Online Sessions webpage for detailed information about GoTo Webinar, including system requirements, firewall permissions, and equipment requirements for computer speakers and microphones.

Nebraska libraries - CE Credits:
- If you attend a live show, you do not need to apply for your CE credit - the credit is automatically added to your record.
- If you watch an Archived Show, you will need to apply for your CE Credit. For CE Guidelines and CE Activity Report Forms, see Public Librarian Certification or Public Library Board Certification. Please contact our Continuing Education Staff with questions about CE Credits.
